About
Every article here is something you can try on yourself. First you guess, estimate or enter what you think. Then you see what experiments and data show. What interests us most is the gap between how we see things and how they are.
Who writes it
I'm Ondřej Dobečka. I'm a software developer, not a psychologist or a doctor. Psychology, and why people get themselves and the world wrong, has fascinated me for years. This blog is my way of testing it on myself and with you.
How the articles are made
I choose the topics. I read and test everything before it goes live. Every number has a source below the article. Where research disagrees, I show the other view too. If you find a mistake, write to me at andrews911@gmail.com and I'll note the correction in the article.
What happens to your data
Mini apps run in your browser, and what you enter isn't sent anywhere. The exception is the Save result button: it saves only the numbers from your result to this browser, without a name or email, and you can delete them at any time on the Your results page. We count visits only as totals, without cookies or IP addresses. Details are in the privacy policy.
Why Egoia
The blog is part of Egoia, an app that helps you get to know yourself. For now it's invite-only; if you have an invitation, sign in here.
